Online Birding Class: 10 Birds To Know

TreeSong Nature Awareness and Retreat Center will host an online birding class “10 Birds To Know” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13.
This course will cover ten species that are easily found and will give attendees practice in observation and listening. Meet backyard birds like the Song Sparrow, Northern Flicker, and California Scrub-Jay along with further afield species like the Great Blue Heron, Osprey, and Red-winged Blackbird. The class will also discuss field guides, apps, and other ways to learn.
Registration is required to attend closes at 5:00pm the day of the class. Cost starts at $10 per person, register online at www.treesongnatureawareness.org.
