“Perspectives” Opening and Miller Family Free Day at Portland Art Museum

The Portland Art Museum welcomes visitors for free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 16, the opening day of Perspectives, a collection of photographs by BIPOC photographers in Portland during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. The exhibition features work by artists Emery Barnes, Joseph Blake, Linneas Boland-Godbey, David (Daveed) Jacobo, Mariah Harris and Byron Merritt. The exhibit is on display until Nov. 13.

Activities on July 16 will include exhibition viewing; an opening panel discussion with the Perspectives artists; and the Paseo festival (July 15 – 17) enlivening the South Park Blocks with a showcase of diverse talent in music, performance, art, crafts, and food, along with activities and information in health, wellness, movement, parks, and outdoors.
