Re-Imagined Radio’s September broadcast features 20 short radio stories written and voiced by Pacific Northwesterners. Each features an epiphany — a sudden, unexpected revelation or insight that speaks to the human experience.
The premier broadcast and live stream airs at 1 p.m. Sept. 19 on KXRW-FM, Vancouver, and KXRY-FM, Portland. Subsequent broadcasts and streams will be provided by local, regional and international broadcast partners.
The broadcast opens with “Tiffany Epiphany,” written and voiced by Jodi Lorimer, that details the origins of the word “epiphany” and suggests that changes in human graciousness and manners make it more difficult, and sometimes more dangerous, to recognize and appreciate momentary connections—epiphanies—as a desirable attribute.
Other stories include “Atom and Eve” and “1 4 U from the Twilight Zone” by Laurence Overmire; “The Locks” by Devin James, “Detour” by Kimberly Johnston, “Birth” by Scott Campbell and “The Moon Is Leaving” by Bob Sterry.
Re-imagined Radio premieres episodes on the third Monday of the month on KXRW-FM and KXRY-FM. In addition, every Sunday, an episode of Re-Imagined Radio is broadcast on KXRW only, drawing from previously broadcast episodes. Episodes can be streamed on demand from the Re-Imagined Radio website, www.reimaginedradio.net.
