Bridge Island Arts and Vintage will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. Aug. 3. Festivities include a Jell-O Salad competition and a make-your-own Jell-O salad bar from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Email info@bridgeisland.com for details about entering the competition. Bridge Island is a retail boutique at 1902 S.E. Sixth Ave., Camas. The store features local vendors selling both new and antique home decor, furniture and accessories, plus original and vintage art, collectibles, upcycled and repurposed pieces, jewelry and pop culture items. The store, owned by siblings Bryce and Shelly Caldwell, is located in a residential area east of downtown Camas in a historical building that has housed a music shop, grocery store and most recently The Rustic Monkey antique store. Summer shopping hours at Bridge Island are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 11 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Street parking is free.
