Ridgefield Hometown Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting

Ridgefield will mark the start of the holiday season with its Hometown Celebration from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. along Pioneer Street in downtown Ridgefield and in Overlook Park, 113-131 S. Main Ave., Ridgefield. Visitors will find twinkling lights, decorated businesses, gifts, food and holiday sales. Get started on holiday shopping at the Holiday Food and Gift Marketplace in Overlook Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring 40 local vendors. See festive trees decorated as part of the Circle of Trees Decorating Contest. Visit Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Old Liberty Theater, 115 N. Main Ave., Ridgefield; take your own pictures with smartphones and cameras. See holiday entertainment from school bands and choirs on the main stage at Overlook Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cap it off with the tree lighting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. in Overlook Park with a performance from DanceFusion NW.

Have breakfast with Santa at the Ridgefield Administrative and Civic Center, 510 Pioneer St, Ridgefield, from 9 to 11 a.m. Shop at the Ridgefield Art Association’s Chickadee Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gym, featuring handmade, original art and crafts by local artists; kids’ crafts will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Or join the Ugly Christmas Sweater 5K-10K run with a 9 a.m. start in downtown Ridgefield; register online here. Get even more shopping done at the Winter Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene, 747 Pioneer St., Ridgefield, featuring vendors, food carts, a photo booth and a gift basket raffle.
