Working with Scratchboard Four-Week Course

Vancouver Art Space, located upstairs in the Vancouver Mall at 8700 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive, Suite 283, will offer a four-week “Working with Scratchboard” course from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays starting April 3. Students will expand their artistic vocabulary by testing out new techniques, creating arresting white-on-black designs. Students should bring an image, drawing or copyright-free photo, a sketch book, a drawing pad, white conte or charcoal pencil and a dusting brush. Vancouver Art Space will supply eight-by-ten scratchboard, scratchboard tools and tracing paper. This class is best suited for students age 15 and older. The fee for all four weeks is $190.
