The Portland/Vancouver branch of iUrban Teen will host four events in honor of Black History Month from 2 to 4 p.m. every Saturday in February at the iUrban offices at 808 Harney St. in downtown Vancouver. - Feb. 4: Meet the Authors: A lively reading and author signing with D’Norgia Taylor (“Seedlings Don’t Die. They Wait for Another Journey.”) and Mario Depriest (“The Power of a Rose: Man to Man on Woman, Romance and Communication.”).
- Feb. 11: Poetry and Spoken Word: Connect with artists through written works, featuring Latoya Hampton.
- Feb. 18: Black Health and Wellness: Black physicians lead sessions guiding attendees to quality care, discussing warming signs to watch for and the best ways to advocate for your family.
- Feb. 25: Art Noir: Enjoy the creative collections of local Black artists during a gallery showing.
