VANtalks: Beyond Change

VANtalks, a local version of the international TED Talk phenomenon, will host its fifth annual VANtalks event, “Beyond Change,” from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. Oct. 27,  at Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St., Vancouver. The event will feature seven local changemakers who will challenge and inspire the audience. Tickets to the 2022 VANtalks: Beyond Change event are $22 in advance and $30 at the door. • Kathy Ann Carlisle, creator of Live Everything Mindful: How multiple sclerosis brought her to the door of change.
• Nathan Tanzman, Jr.:  Journey to authenticity: A man’s search for significance leads him down a road of pain and destruction. Then finds what he was truly looking for – himself.
• Kurt Miller, clean energy advocate: Twelve minutes to save the world – a guide to a clean and fair energy future.
• Tyler Monk: The promise of change versus the process of change.
• Mike Nieto, founder and 0wner of Catworks Construction: Uncomfortably safe – addressing mental health in the workplace.
• Sarah Desjarlais, executive director of Fosterful: Brighter days ahead – making the world a brighter place with ordinary light.
• Paul Iarrobino, Our Bold Voices founder: Taking off the mask – pandemic epiphanies from the other side.
