Get growing: Introduction to Vegetable Gardening

WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardeners present “Get Growing: Introduction to Vegetable Gardening” from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 20 for a fully hands-on, workshop on vegetable gardening at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St. in the Hazel Dell area of Vancouver. Participants will learn about site selection, soil preparation, crop selection, pest and disease management and irrigation. Participants should dress for the weather in this outdoor class, wear sturdy shoes, bring water, a lawn or camping chair and lunch. This class is geared for those with no or little experience gardening. The cost is $10.
