The nonprofit Please Don’t Die Black Men host a Black History Month Fashion Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 17402 N.E. Delfel Rd., Ridgefield. The purpose of this event is to showcase African Americans who have contributed significantly to the development of the fashion industry in the United States since the 1860s. The show is a tribute to the heritage, resilience and achievements of the African-American/Black community. The event includes free food for all attendees to give people a taste of flavorful foods from West Africa as part of the celebration of Black History Month. A DJ will keep the atmosphere lively by playing a selection of uplifting music.
