The Chapter DJ Philanthropic Educational Organization and the Clark County Historical Museum will host a presentation by Pat Jollota, “When Vancouver Missed the Boat: Those Who Kept Vancouver from Growing,” at 6 p.m. March 4 at the museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver. Tickets are $15 and all proceeds from the evening go to the Women’s Educational Scholarships Program. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. and the presentation begins at 6 p.m. Historian and author Jollota will guide the audience through the development of Vancouver, from early endeavors to bring a railway to town to the battles over bridging the Columbia River.
