The Clark County Historical Museum presents retired alternative educator Pepper Kim as November’s Speaker Series lecturer at 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at 1511 Main St., Vancouver. “Vancouver’s Legacy of Alternative Education” will explore non-traditional education in Clark County. Doors open at 6 p.m. Kim will delve into the development of the non-traditional learning opportunities for students of Clark County from the 1970s onward, from the humble beginnings of the Rainbow Gardens Learning and Food Cooperative to the development of the Cascadia Tech Academy (Clark County Skills Center) and Running Start.
