Community tree-planting event in Westside Vancouver (help needed!)

Volunteers are needed to plant dozens of six-foot to ten-foot trees at 9 a.m. Feb. 22 in Westside Vancouver neighborhoods. Volunteers should meet at First United Methodist Church, 401 E. 33rd St., Vancouver. Volunteers should arrive by 8:45 a.m. to sign in and be assigned a planting crew. Planting starts at 9 a.m. Friends of Trees will provide gloves, tools and guidance as well as light breakfast snacks and coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
