Active Aging Week Events at Touchmark

Touchmark at Fairway Village, 2911 S.E. Village Loop, Vancouver, is hosting four events in its Fireside Room as part of Active Aging Week. Call 360-254-2866 for more information and to RSVP. The events are as follows:

• Oct. 2, 2 p.m.: “Pause for Paws.” Learn about pet therapy and how to become a certified pet therapist.
• Oct. 3, 2:30 p.m.: “Hour of the Dancing Dogs.” Featuring two Australian Shepherds performing dance routines.
• Oct. 5, 3 p.m.: Presentation from the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. Hear from a local representative about what our local humane society does and how you can contribute.
• Oct. 6, 2:30 p.m.: “Trick Dogs and Rally Demonstration.” Hear from Nicki Short, who trains dogs to do tricks, behave well and show off for their fans.
