Chamber Music Northwest presents The Catalyst Quartet: Remarkable Women Composers

Chamber Music Northwest presents the Grammy Award-winning Catalyst Quartet, founded by the acclaimed Sphinx Organization, which promotes diversity in the arts. This concert at Portland’s Old Church Concert Hall is part of a series celebrating music that has been overlooked because of the composers’ race or gender. From 4 to 5:30 p.m. April 16, enjoy an inspirational program comprised entirely of women composers. Selected pieces represent a range of women composers of the past through the present day like Fanny Mendelssohn, Jessie Montgomery, Joan Tower and Angélica Negrón.
