Create a Cryptid Contest

The Camas Public Library is hosting a “Create a Cryptid” contest for all ages to create a new cryptid worthy of keeping company with the Loch Ness monster, the Yeti, the Kraken and the chupacabra. The deadline to submit artwork for your own original cryptid is 5 p.m. Oct. 16. Use whatever medium you’d like to create your cryptid — paint, digital, sculpture, papier-mâché, etc. Submit your artwork to the Camas Public Library along with the form, available at the library or at camaspubliclibrary.evanced.info. One entry is allowed per person. Voting will take place Oct. 17-25. The three cryptids with the most votes will be announced as the winners on Oct. 26. Each winner will receive a prize.
