Four Days of Aloha Workshops and Cultural Festival

Four Days of Aloha is Vancouver’s annual festival celebrating Hawaiian and Polynesian culture, organized by the Ke Kukui Foundation. It takes place over four days and includes cultural workshops at Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver, and concerts and performances at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver at 605 Esther St. Registration for the workshops is required. Complete information, workshop registration and tickets to concerts and performances are available at 4daysofaloha.com. Workshops are $50 to $90 and tickets to performances are $8 to $55. Here’s the schedule:

July 21: Hula and craft workshops and Pāʻina event at Clark College Gaiser Hall; registration required 

  • 8 a.m. – check-in
  • 9 a.m. – welcome and kumu introductions
  • 9:30 a.m. – morning workshop
  • Noon – lunch break (bring your own or order at registration)
  • 1 to 3:30 p.m. – afternoon workshop
  • 6 to 9:30 p.m. – free Pāʻina event in Gaiser Hall

  • 3 to 10 p.m. – musical performances
  • 3 to 10 p.m. – beer garden (21 and over only)
  • 3:30 to 7:45 p.m. – keiki/kids’ zone (ticket required)

July 23: Hōʻike and Hawaiian Festival at Esther Short Park; ticket required 

  • 9 a.m. – gates open
  • 10 a.m. – welcome and program begins
  • 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. – performances
  • 10 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. – keiki/kids’ zone (ticket required)
  • 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. – beer garden (21 and over only)

July 23: Run 4 Aloha (registration required) and Celebration of Cultures (ticket required ) at Esther Short Park

  • 7 a.m. – check-in for run
  • 7:45 a.m. – welcome and opening
  • 8 a.m. – kids’ run starts
  • 8:15 .m. – 5K/10K run starts
  • 9 a.m. – gates open for cultural festival
  • 10 a.m. – welcome and program begins
  • 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. – performances
  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – keiki/kids’ zone (ticket required)
  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – beer garden (21 and over only)
