Free Disaster Preparedness Presentation

In cooperation with the S.W. Washington Chapter of the American Red Cross, Fort Vancouver National Historic will host “Be Red Cross Ready,” a disaster preparedness presentation at Pearson Air Museum and Tex Rankin Theater, 1115 East 5th St., beginning at 10 a.m. on April 29.
The presentation is open to the public and free of charge.
The program will include making a plan to communicate to others in the case of an emergency. Presenters will also focus on making a special kit of emergency supplies for one’s home and vehicle. Finally, this presentation will emphasize the need to be informed and educate one’s self about potential hazards (home fires, floods, windstorms, wildfires, and others) and learn how to plan and prepare for them.
Attendees will then be prepared and more confident to safeguard themselves, family and loved ones. The official Red Cross Prepare Guide will be supplied for everyone along with other printed handouts.
