Master Gardener and professional florist Jayne DiMarco will present a talk from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 16 on planning a cut flower garden. The workshop at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St. in Hazel Dell, includes details on selecting and caring for flowers appropriate for arranging and information on how to select flowers that bloom around the same time. Participants will make a visit to the onsite cut flower demonstration garden where they will make a hand bouquet to take home. Students should dress for the weather, bring water, a pair of snips and a vase or mason jar. The cost is $5.
