The Master Gardeners present “Introduction to Grape Pruning,” a hands-on, in-person workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 11 at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver. Grapevines are wonderful producers of luscious fruit, but they require consistent annual pruning to be at their best. Learn propagation and pruning techniques by practicing on young (1- to 3-year-old) vines. Participants may take cuttings home. The cost is $10 per person.
Before attending the in-person workshop, attendees must view a short video. Participants must be able to walk for 10 minutes up a steep hill. Those with mobility issues may drive. Dress for the weather and bring water, garden gloves, and a pair of sharpened loppers or hand bypass pruners. This event is fully outside. Partipants must register at eventbrite.com/e/hands-on-in-person-introductory-table-grape-pruning-workshop-tickets-477590043677 .
