Lilac Days at Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens

Lilac Days at the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily from April 20 to May 12 at 115 S. Pekin Rd., Woodland. The gardens are a restoration project to honor the work of famed lilac developer Hulda Klager. The grounds, a national historic site, contain an 1800s house with outbuildings and the surrounding garden. The new barn museum opened in 2023 with many new exhibits. The Lilac Days festival helps to fund upkeep of the gardens. Visitors are encouraged to visit the plant sale area to take lilacs home to grown in their own gardens. Admission is $10 or free for children 12 and under.
