The city of Vancouver will host a Memorial Day ceremony at 11 a.m. May 29 at the bandstand gazebo at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, just west of 1501 Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver. The community is invited to honor those who died while serving our country in the U.S. military. The event features speakers and live music as well as a free lunch. Parking is available at Hudson’s Bay High School with a free C-Tran shuttle to and from Fort Vancouver. The event is sponsored by Community Military Appreciation Committee and its partners, Waste Connections, National Park Service (NPS), Clark County, Boy Scouts of America, Young Marines and 40 et 8.
