National Women’s Coalition Against Violence and Exploitation Hosts Candlelight Vigil

Nichole Norris (mother of murdered daughter, Meshay Melendez, and grandmother of Layla Stewart) along with Joseph Thuney (father of murdered daughter Brittany Thuney) invite those impacted by murder to join a candlelight vigil from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 25 near the clock tower in Esther Short Park. Anyone that has lost anyone from murder is invited to wear shirts or buttons depicting their loved one(s) and to bring photos or posters of those they have lost. The public is encouraged to bring a cellphones with flashlight or a battery-operated candle.
