The next Ripple Impact Panel is 5 to 7 p.m. April 26 in the River East Room of the Ripple Space, 275 W. Third St., Suite 400, Vancouver. The gathering offers insight into conservation issues at the local level. The event highlights the organizations that conserve open and forested areas and plant on the banks of waterways, that help neighbors to create backyard havens for birds and pollinators, and that use science to give children a sense of wonder about the world. The impact panel isn’t a fundraising event or a public policy discussion but it is a great place to learn and share. Speakers include Glenn Lamb, Katherine Cory of Columbia Springs, Anna Wilde of the Watersheds Alliance and Meg Rutledge of the Columbia Land Trust. Registration and more information is available at RippleImpactNW.org. The cost to participate is $35.
