Themed “Sunshine and Roses,” Quiltfest Northwest will feature displays of over 500 quilts, including a special display of the Cherrywood “Diana” traveling exhibit. This year’s featured exhibit shows quilts made by members of the Felida Friends small quilt group. Sunflowers for Ukraine is a sale of small quilts with proceeds supporting World Central Kitchen’s relief efforts in Ukraine. Each day, a “Quilt of Valor” will be presented to a local veteran and examples of Quilts of Valor will be on exhibit. Veterans and active duty military personnel are encouraged to attend and will receive a military discount on admission. The Fort Vancouver Tapestry will be on display and the event will also feature a vendor mall.
Proceeds from this year’s Opportunity Quilt, entitled “Doors of Opportunity,” benefit Woman of Wonder, a local Clark County organization that provides college scholarships for women in Washington state. Tickets are $5 each, and will be available at the show or from Guild members.
