Volunteers needed for tree-planting in Vancouver

Volunteers are needed to plant dozens of six- to ten-foot trees from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 25. Volunteers should meet at 8:45 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8310 MacArthur Blvd. Vancouver, to sign in and be assigned a planting crew. Friends of Trees will provide gloves, tools, snacks and hot drinks. Volunteers should dress for the weather with sturdy shoes. Register at friendsoftrees.org. Volunteers with pickup trucks are especially needed.
