WSU Extension Master Gardeners will host a Tomato Pruning Workshop from 9:30 to 11 a.m. July 15 at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, located at Northeast 78th Street and Northeast 19th Court in Hazel Dell. The cost is $5. This workshop will clarify which types of tomato plants need pruning and will provide instruction on when and how to prune. Participants will work in small groups receiving hands-on instruction on pruning techniques. The class is conducted entirely in the field. Dress for the weather and garden work. Bring bypass hand pruners and water. Accessing the site requires a short walk on uneven ground. Those with mobility issues may drive.
