Assistance League Southwest Washington has matched eight local businesses with nearby schools with high poverty levels and are collecting new children's books to present to these schools. Every year, Beacock Music holds a month-long pet food and supply collection for some of the small, no-kill shelters in the Vancouver area. This year, the food drive, every day from Feb. 1-28, will benefit Furry Friends Cat Rescue and Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue. All food and supplies are welcome but the Furry Friends preferred brands are Natural Balance Ultra (dry) and Natural Balance L.I.D. Fortunate Sons (Credence Clearwater Revival tribute) and Harvest Gold (Neil Young tribute) join together to perform a fundraiser show for "Let's Celebrate!" a group that hosts events for the local community.
