The all-volunteer Westwinds Community Band will offer an all-ages musical salute to the brave men and women who have served our country. This one-hour musical tribute from 3 to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 will feature popular patriotic music to honor America’s veterans at Mill Plain United Methodist Church, 15804 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver.
Bethel Lutheran Church will offer a free concert at 2 p.m. Nov. 10 with performer Lasana Kanneh. IJenNeh (pronounced “eye gin nay”) means "heaven" in Kanneh's native dialect of Mandingo. IJenNeh is a mix of African, reggae, pop and gospel music. Lasana's CDs will be available to purchase at the concert.
