St. Andrew Lutheran Church is hosting a family-friendly benefit concert for Winter Hospitality Overflow (WHO) shelters from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at 5607 N.E. Gher Road, VAncouver. The ensemble Winds and Strings and the Ft. Vancouver Pipe Band will perform to raise money for shelters at St. Andrew and St. Paul Lutheran Churches.
The concert is celebrating its 20th year of helping the houseless recover. The concert is free but donations for the program are very welcome. Refreshments will be provided after the concert. Audience members will learn about musical instruments like the hurdy gurdy, concertina, accordion, hammered and mountain dulcimers, recorders, whistles, harmonicas, gitjo and guitars.
